The build has begun!

i dont know. it wont even let me pm you. i click on it and it doesnt do anything. maybe its my comp. i dont know

Won a 250r shock last night so my 400ex shock is up for sale....and the spring is stripped and whatever color the person wants when they purchase the shock

Ok here is my monthly update....got most of my parts collected for the suspension besides the lt a arms which will be ordered next week. The gussets will have the welds completely ground smooth and rounded to the frame, as well as any other custom welding i will be doing. Here is my parts collection

I wanna get everything bolted on first, cycle the suspension and make sure everything is lined up well, then disassemble and smooth out all the grinding marks and get ready for powder

Thanks bro...I'm so sick of looking at silver! I'm shooting for more color on this within the next week or so...I'm requesting my a arms be sent to me bare so i can powder them myself.

the ASR guys are pretty nice, they probably will do that for ya. And i totally forgot the 250r fronts were the length of YFZ shocks, now i know what else i can use for me next project :P . Thanks for using them! lol

Yeh I send props out to Phragle for the suspension setup...without his help this wouldn't have came about! He told me the 250r fronts are really plush...the triple rates...and are hard to bottom out.

I emailed the guys at asr and they said they could send me a bare set...but call them first so when i purchase, they will be bare with all the hardware in bags. going with all heims too for a little better articulation of the suspension

looking great man, that's a pretty impressive collection of parts

Well most of it was stripping and blasting...either glass bead or aluminum oxide grit for the darker colors of powder I'm gonna put on it. Glass brings it down to the metal look where it's much easier to polish. Forgot I got my polished axle under the table too...and these

he means put them on and cycle the suspension and see if you can get more travel by moving the shock mount

Gotcha...i read it a couple times and was like wtf is phragle drinking tonight? lol

I believe I'll leave that shock mount alone...ah damn here we go with more custom fab ideas...dammit phragle i'm never gonna be done! haha

Well that boat is cool for the first few months...after that its like damn when am i gonna be done! Nah it's cool to get all the knowledge from doing all of this..I have done alot of trial and error on this build....more than I want to discuss in this thread in fear of looking like a dipshit ;)
