Looking in to extending the blaster , and came across a swingarm kit , but i was just wondering if this are dependable ? Anyone running these ? How hard is the install ?

I don't know, someone said one time they were junk and other people have said they were beautiful....

If I were racing or jumping I'd want something bulletproof (a new replacement extended swingarm). I think it boils down to how much a failure is going to cost you... a $1000 purse on the last lap you wouldn't want to risk it on those. A tow home by some buddy and you have to buy him a 6 pack to pay him back? maybe not so bad. I might run them on my weekend warrior because cost is an issue and I wouldn't mind if I had to buy my buddy a 6 pack... one day I might have to tow him home and then I'd be the recipient of said 6 pack...

A wise man once said: Cheap, easy, or good/fast/strong. Pick any two.

As stated above, depends on your needs. Race or recreation. One of these came on a Blaster we bought 6yrs ago. It's our guest blaster and has been abused by everyone who wanted too. No problems and 2" is good for general recreation. Not for racing or setting jumping records, as I have seen them bashed here for breaking.

YZ do you have a picture of that blaster from the side? I've seen a 4" swinger extension and they look good. I was wondering what a 2" extension looks like.

This is close as I've got to a side view. 2" isn't really obvious visually but you can feel the difference.

I had one of those on my blaster. Had zero problems with it. Made the front wheels stay on the ground alot more.

Just follow the instructions and use the proper torque specs and your good to go.

I have a JTM PRODUCTS 4 1/2 extension, it's over 9 years old with no problems, but i don't do much jumping, and i had to make a skidplate
because the stock one did not fit, and the chain adjustment sucks........ Sorry about the dirty pictures...

Yours looks purty beefy from the ones I've seen, just two bracket pieces. But one solid unit:o that would be more trust worthy.I:I

ya looks like the one bronco has is the way to go IF you could find one. Honestly if it was made from quality aluminum/steel you shouldn't have any problems if you are not doing a lot of big jumps and such. Really the weakest point look like its gonna be where it bolts together, but if its quality material and made heavy enough its not gonna really be any weaker than the surrounding material and would hold up fine.
