I am new to the whole yamaha blaster world. My question is whether i should be concerned about the motor overheating while riding this summer?? Being that they are air cooled and I dont really run the machine hard ever, I just mill around will this affect me on the summer atv trails?? Is this something that i should watch this summer?

Thanks for the input......

proper jetting, for the mods you may have, will keep your motor cool
ride on and fear not !!!!!!!

As long as the carburetor is jetted properly and you use good oil, it'll run fine no matter how hot the summer gets. People go duning and run them WOT most of the time, and the engines live to tell the tale time and time again. Just don't leave the engine idling for a long time without riding the quad; there must be air flowing across the cooling fins for the heat to dissapate.

Aight, The quad is mostly stock with the exception of the silencer....DG. So it is stock, my bad. LOL. So do you think that the stock jets will be fine??

I just dont want to rebuild the top end every year............ know what i mean.
