I was wondering if you can get a hot coil or something to make a Blaster fire hotter. Sometimes it only takes a few kicks to start it. I went out to the shed today to start it and its cold outside and it took 35 kicks to start! Does that sound bad? I just had Surdyke Yamaha completely rebuild my entire engine. It runs great once it starts. It starts pretty easy once its warm. I have about $2,300 into this Blaster so I am pretty paranoid about it being messed up.

i tried starting mine a lil bit ago an it wouldnt i think its just because of the cold it starts on the first 3 kicks when its warmer out

My wifes starts great! Like five kicks and its ready to go. Check compresion, spark plug, carb settings, reeds, and so on. just because a dealer rebuilt your engine doesn't mean its 100% correct, everyone is human and mistakes happen. I would check the plug first, two strokes like to eat those.

I put a new plug in it and it started pretty easy. I have only ridden it about 5 hours so hopefully it dont foul them that often. I also have a 2007 YZ85 and it usually starts 1st or 2nd kick and is ok on plugs but could be alil better. About how often do Blaster`s usually foul plugs? Its an 88 but a newly rebuilt motor.

Its all about proper break in.Thats why i for one would never carry it to a dealer. Then there is the jetting issue.I and H built just got through putting a 240 on my blaster and right now it will start up on the first or second kick.Hopefully you tried to break yours in.

I change mine about as often as i ride it. Sometimes i change it during the ride. Not couse there fouled, couse i like to always have a fresh one in there so i can tell the condition of the motor. And besides nothing starts and runs better then a brand new plug. "Buy in bulk"
