Spark Plug - Help Please?

Alright, I yanked my spark plug today.. only to discover that it's wet and black. I was wondering what could cause this, and some simple cheap ways to fix it possibly? Could it be from starting the quad and letting it run for only a few seconds? I live in the city and I cant really leave my blasty running for all that long, or the cops come.

If you leave it idle for too long it will start to carbon up and will need cleared out with throttle like any 2 stroke. You might want to just get a couple new plugs to have because if you foul one in the woods or flood you quad out and don't have an extra it's not good. I use NGK B7ES's or B8ES's
