my mods are pro circuit silencer only...header pipe soon... no airbox lid with uni foam filter. stock mikuni carb. and bored .40 over. whats the best bang for the buck? pwk?I:I

you really dont need a bigger carb. You barely have any mods at all. just make sure you jetted rich enough. I wouldnt get a bigger carb tell you over a 320 main. imo

would a 28mm even be to much for what i have done? this blasty was boner stock when i got it. im workin on it tho lol

you will want the header pipe 1st unless you can do both at the same time. more power gain in a pipe than carb with your mods. but it wont be too much for your current mods.

I run a PWK 28, I had a hell of a time getting it jetted. Thats the main disgruntlement about the Keihins, on here, its hard to find good jetting numbers cause most of the people run stock carbs, or bigger 30-36mm carbs.

For a stockish blaster, I dont know how much power is to be had by moving to a PWK 28. I honestly dont think Id even worry about it if you have a stock carb already. I dont know if Id even worry about upgrading that carb till your engine is ported or stroked (ported AND stroke hehe), and you have more breathing mods than you currently have.

Im actually tempted to pick up a stock carb and toss it on and see what it does, cause its stupid easy to get jetted properly with the myriad of info on this site. You can get jetting numbers from TONS of people on here.

With the 28, theres just a small handful of us.

nice. thats really not a bad price at all. i didnt look them up yet so i was thinking they were prolly around 165 or so.

Yeah me too. I ended up trading straight across my PWK36 for a PWK28 and I found out I got the raw end of the deal LOL. Oh well. Its not Tonys fault (the guy I traded - I offered, he just accepted).

Now, that I have port work, I kinda wouldnt mind so much having that 36 back. I MIGHT even be able to get the porker jetted now that my engine moves some air :)

well then sell that 28 and use the money for a bigger carb :) if you have port work done the that engine is hungry give it something to eat :)

Well, I might do that. I got a buddy with a 34pj he wont be using. Funny story. I traded Tony my 36 for my current 28. Tony never used the 36. Buddy of mine has an RM250 dirtbike. Stock 34mm carb. He wants to see about upping the carb size a bit, 36mm PWK is a great upgrade for those guys. So I thought about him, and PMed Tony and asked if hed sell the 36. My buddy bought my old carb from Tony. If he ends up getting it all dialed in, Im gonna steal his 34pj and see how it runs, since several other guys on here use them and theres decent jetting info on them (not to mention, I already have lots of Keihin jets).

If I do, and it runs good, I will most likely sell my 28.
