Hi all.

1. First I want to ask a Toomey B1 question. What is it about this pipe that makes the loud metal pinging noise? Is it the frontpipe? rear silencer? Or the "whole package" ?

IF its the rear silencer. Is it possible to use another silencer combined with the Toomey front pipe?

IF yes, and I want a performance exhaust, but more quieter.. What will the choice then be? (Toomey rear silencer is very small = free flow I guess?)

So to get a more quieter silencer would it then need to be bigger and more "fatter" ? Like for an example.. FMF Powercore 2?

But it should still perform, not only be quiet, but remember it has to work with Toomey front pipe.

And last:.. In very sound restricted areas.. I was wondering if it is possible to acutally mount the stock rear silencer to the Toomey front pipe? What will then happen? Would it be able to run decent? Or is it WAAAY restricted to a modded engine and thats just not possible?

i got the powercore 2 and it really aint that quiet. i dont know if you can put other silencers on , but if u can get the fmf Q. it is supposed to be the quietest. but i think it is more the front pipe that makes it loud, because when i put on just the silencer (stock header) it got a little bit louder. but when i put the front pipe on it got a hell of alot louder.

That is why I do not want a Toomey for my Blaster. I would say that it is the entire package. Try a gutted stock silencer on it (if it fits) and call Toomey to see if they have or know of a way to quiet their exhaust. So far, the pipes that I like the sound of have larger silencer canisters (LRD, DMC). I have also heard a couple of Vito's and they sounded pretty good to me. In the end it comes down to give it a try and let us know how it turned out. You may end up having to sell the Toomey to get a quieter exhaust. Hopefully, the Toomey will accept another silencer and this will work but I think that it might also be part of the head pipe design. When it is running where does the sound you dislike come from- front, rear, or both?

so do i man. the neighbours can suck my ****. lolol jk
Same here. I love the old school buzz box sound of my power core2 silencer, but I gotta say a full toomey sounds awesome! I love the way lassek's blaster sounds!

But I do understand if you have sound restrictions... A stock silencer should fit just fine, try that first. Also a gutted stock silencer should flow fine.. try it, you have nothing to lose.

Its the pipe it self. all 2strokes make that sound.
