I like the idea of having a instructions put out for the newbs before they're allowed to post. Ugh, Phragle, you sound like me after a long day at work. I fix small engines for a living, and after a long day in the shop, I'm SICK of customers coming in asking stupid questions. 'Which oil should I run in this Kawasaki?' What's the valve lash supposed to be on this Briggs and Stratton engine?' Repeat that 10 times a day and see what happens...

People, it's called read your owner's manuals and do a little research before driving a knowledgable guy like you or I crazy. Lol. And I fully agree; people who don't maintain their equipment deserve what's coming in the way of breakdowns.

Here's my favorite one... OK. My boss was having trouble with his '97 Dodge work truck losing power on the road and dying out at idle. I popped the hood and took a quick look at the 12V Cummins underneath. An hour later, I had a fresh air filter installed and proceeded to crack open the water separator cansiter to have a look at the filter. It was the original one in there from 1997! (This all happened a month ago.) Go figure.

(sorry for the threadjack!)

Both young and older forum members need to use the search button. Age has nothing to do with maturity. Either way, its the same topics; exhausts, why wont my blaster run, whats wrong, ect, ect. I always used the search button before posting, hell i even PMed a few members just so i wouldnt create useless threads. I love this forum but there is some really annoying stuff. I still dont understand whats to hard about proof-reading what you type before you post it. I guarantee 92 percent of the questions asked on the forum, have already been answered. Just my 2 cents.
Completely agree. Thats why I just ignore 99% of the posts/threads anymore, its either the same bs we've all answered 200 times or I can't even understand the question.... and usually its both...

Eh just be more picky about which threads you read... People are people, and will not change..

Getting upset and ranting may make you feel better, but those people probably will not read this thread either...

So nothing has gotten accomplished.

I think phragle is in need of some boat racing!!!lol or a nice tall cold one!! It is what it is around here, but your expertise is valuable to many of us.Don't let it bother you as much as it can sometimes.

If you think about it everything's been covered so should the cite be changed to a read only .......

I don't think everythings been covered , there is a lot of interpretation and customization to still be done. People will be people , young kids tend to be impatient , I have an idea , Tell them you'll answer their question , but make them wait 3 days!!!!
Remember when you were 13? didn't know a damn thing and just wanted some help ?
Be cool bro , it's easier on your blood pressure

No one ever uses the search function on any forum, most of these people don't intend to stick around much they just wanna find out whats wrong and then be gone, they really don't feel the need to be contributing members. Most are in a hurry to find whats wrong and do the bare minimum to fix the problem, or in the case of the best exhaust and better power threads they are likely just starting out with quads and just wanna take the quick and easy route instead of researching the info. To put it simple people are lazy, deal with it.
The only reason the contributing members use the search is because they see the constant stupid threads and know the answers are out there, also they are annoyed with the stupid threads. None of us wants to contribute to the stupid threads total so we use the search

Im a mod on a bike forum and see this question all the time. The old members "ALWAYS" get frustrated with the noobies! What you have to rember is you were in their shoes at one point."young dumb and still full of c---".

Most threads are labled pretty clearly and you can therefor ignore the ones that bother you. "which oil" gets me so I avoid them. A forum is a living thing, and will grow without you, so it's up to you to grow with it or not.

When I was 13 there was no internet...There was Dad, who said " you have a garage full of tools, figure it out" he would tell me how something was supposed to work, but would only help when he was sure I had exhausted my options for figuring it out. He taught me to think and understand, to solve problems logically. The skills he taught me by not helping me have proved to be of much greater benefit in life than if he had fixed it for me as I ate cookies and watched cartoons. The internet has made it way to easy for people to eat cookies.

if there were no dumb questions and smart ass comments made on this forum, alot of us would never be on here because it would just be boring. think about it. when your on here its probably because you need some info or something, but then you get side tracked on threads like this. it would be boring without this stuff

If you're really that arrogant and bothered by people asking questions then just leave. There are plenty of people here who enjoy helping those who are just joining the hobby.

Have some respect. The man has help alot of people and knows a hell of alot about Blasters. I want him to stay. The guy is a Pro that can offer great advice.

We all have are days. It's a rant. There's times where your not having a good day and the little things piss you off. He had his rant thread and now it's up to him to do what he wants to. Hell. I have my days to. I rant then mellow out. That's what happenens when you get around my age. Lol.

Does this have to turn into an argument? If you want to go, just go. No ones holding you back. Thats your decision on whether you stay or go.
