So i can not get my blaster to shift, i can barley get it to any gear. All it dose is make a click noise when i try upshifting or downshifting. So i though maybe its the shift forks or someting so i have my bike all torn apart ready to get in the motor to see whats wrong, well before i pulled out all the shifing sh*t i decided to look in my blasters manual to see what i was getting into considering i've never had that apart before, well i moved about 5 months ago and i can not find that damn book to save my life so i was wondering if anyone has had the same problem and if its and easy fix or what and if anyone knows a website that i can download the manual for free or look at pages or something that i dont have to purchase a new one (because i have it just don't know where it is haha) any help would be great, thanks!

it would be the shifting forks mine stripped out the gears and it costed me $200 to have it fixed but i would just look online for the manual but its deffenatly your forks

thats what i was thinking it was, do you know of a website i can look at it for free? i googled it and all the sites it gives me wants me to pay for a downloadable copy.

Before you pull the motor & split the cases check the shift star. Had the screw back out on one of ours and it acted like that. Still looked normal but it broke the key. Not sayin that's what it is, just check it before you pull the motor.

where exactly is the shift star? i dont think ive ever had to mess with that, or i just dont remember

Download the manual that was posted today in the DIY section and look around page 4-11. That might not be the right page but it's in there. There's a phillips head screw in the middle of it.

alright i found it, its on 4-23, tomorrows my day off, so im going to go mess with it, ill let you know how it goes

Top of page 4-23 is the shift shaft. The shift shaft goes from your shifter through the motor and operates the star. The star is on the opposite side of the motor from your shift lever. The star is attached to the shift drum that operates your shift forks with a screw. If that screw comes loose the key can be damaged causing enough play that it wont go into gear. The shifter will click like it's going into gear but it doesn't. Bottom of page 4-11 shows the star. Six points/pins.
