Ok so my blaster wouldnt idle so i started messing around with that big aluminum screw on the top of the t.o.r.s and eventually it got so bad that it almost blew the engine. It was pre ingniting and kept running even know i popped the spark plug boot off. What the f*ck happend? And what are the factory tors settings?

what big aluminum screw are you talking about? sounds like you managed to lean it way out....you didn't loosen the part directly on top of the carb did you?

Hey bro PM nathanstone he had a similar problem and it was something inside the tors unit. He has pics and stuff. I just cant find the htread it is in.

that big screw pushes on an arm thats connected to....can you guess...the throttle cable....and its spring loaded.

that arm has to spring back and touch the screw or it would be stuck at a high idle....it can get corroded inside there very easily, wouldnt hurt to open it up and grease/oil it.

mine has a medium idle when I do a cold start, and when its warmed up, it goes down to a low idle....typical with any engine really.

Im gonna order an elimintor kit and get that piece of sh*t off there. Why didn't they just put an idle screw on there from the factory? Wtf.
Anyways, just curios what do those wires do? Coming out of the throttle body and tors.

When you get the T.O.R.S. Elimination kit get the Vitos kit. I got the Motoin Pro and it doesnt come with the idle screw. The Vitos does and comes with the tap and drill bit also.

As for removing the T.O.R.S. I would recommend removing the entire system wires and all from the harness. Less of a chance of a problem happening in the future.

The wires that go into the thumb throttle is part of the system that has to come out also. Just have to open the cover. Dont forget to cover the hole in the thumb throttle where the wires went in a little silcone in the hole works.

Just pisses me off you know, Whatever. Stuiped TORS just about costed me a new bore/hone and piston on a practically fresh top end. X(

Can anyone give me the link to the thread that shows how to install the kit that eliminates the TORS. I cant seem to find that damn thread again. Haha. He uses a blue anodized carb cap...
Thanks.

http://www.blasterforum.com/do-yourself-20/aftermarket-carburetor-cap-idle-screw-install-22174/ thats the thread for the idle screw install, :)

and basically you turned your engine into a diesal engine, it mustve got that hot that when you pulled the spark plug cap off it was still igniting due to the immense heat, and carried on going under its own steam, when this happened to me i hit the kill switch and gave it some gas and it died, either do that or turn the fuel pet weiner off.

proper freaks you out first time it happens :L
