You said you read a lot, yet do not know the differences?
And why are you interested if you dont know what they do for you??
A right bend pipe gives you power in a higher rpm than all left bend pipes. toomey being a close exception.
They often have a stronger pull once you get going.
with my experience, if you ride tight trails and have to get in first gear often, i would not want a right bend.
any tight maneuvering you will have an advantage with the left bend, DMC to be specific. fmf is a good all around but dmc is the lowest rpm
IF i were to buy another pipe, it would be a DMC. but the power of a right bend is unmatched.
I have ridden stock, DG, FMF and DMC. All left bends. I have also ridden the adjustable and non LRD right bend.
None of the left bends come near to the power of the LRD. but the LRD was a dog at low rpm and first gear. the pull from 5/8 throttle up is awesome
one disadvantage of a right bend is the exposure. to your leg that is. Had i not learned as soon, i would have the LRD logo burnt on my leg
