I just put a new topend in the blaster and it has been running great, until yesterday... 1st and 2nd gear are ok but when you start shifting through 3rd and up when you shift it makes a short 2 second high rev noise so you have to let off the gas then give it gas again to make it "feel right" It basically sounds like your rapping out the bike as soon as you shift and give it gas. Also, would overfilling it with oil make it do this? It has been spitting out oil from the overflow..

I will check to make sure all nuts are tight tonight. I have an fmf gold series pipe and powercore 2 silencer. The carburetor is a keihin and I'm not sure what size jets are in it. I will check the forums and see if I can't find out how to check the jet size and will get back to you on that one. Thanks so far!

Well all nuts are tight and I didn't get the chance to check the jets cause it was too dark. My brother was the one riding the blaster when all this began to happen. He said he was gunna take it for about a 1/2 mile ride so he thought he would put somemore oil in it. He said after he put more oil in it started having this problem. He drained the oil out yesterday and said there was about 2 quarts worth in it... He said he drained it all out and filled it up to the second line near the oil peep sight. Does it sound like the clutch maybe slipping or something?

yeah, try it again with the proper amount of trans fluid in it. but have you done a plug chop on it?
