Yeah i think you're right, it looks a lot more restrictive though, not as much free flow, but just having seen it i think it looks a lot worse than stock cage with dual stage boyesen reeds, i dunno

Yes the Boysen reed valve flows less air on a flow bench then the stock reed cage.

so then would that mean that on a stock cage dual stage boyesen's would do better than stock? cause i should probably do my reeds soon, i just can't decide between buying the dual stages right now, or waiting a week or two to buy the v-force

Is there any difference in composites of the reeds that would make any difference in how they perform? Like carbon fiber or fiberglass or other.

haha, save ur money and buy the vf3's my bike has never been so mean when i need it to be, it is soooo responsive, the vf3's do wonders for the throttle.

I think the boyesen pro series are considered good. The ones that fit in the stock cage. The rad valve Uses its own replacement petals and cage. I have some new pro series I got on craigslist for $20. I will Write back if they work better in the stock cage when my piston arrives.

Do they really? so they're a pretty good bang for the buck? cause i need to replace my reeds real soon, but i dunno if i wanna go all 130 for the new v-force, i won't have my blaster much more than a year, then i'm getting a yfz

Glad to hear that you liked the power reeds. Should be $20 well spent then, pro series are supposed to be a little better. I read somewhere that they are the second best option apart from the vf3. The bad thing about the vf3 is some people have had them come unsnapped and sucked into the motor. Probably rare but the bad about a screwless design.

yeah thats what I have and i was wondering how close to the vf 3s they were.

I dont think flow is everything, or maybe they just suck on the blaster. If you google rad valve vs vf3 many say both are very close in performance. Most say vf3 has more bottom and the rad has more top. I found a bunch of threads saying both are awesome.

Are the carbon reeds better than say the fiberglass ones?? I know they use to use metal reeds way back, but they were prone to breaking after the metal started to fatigue. Second what are the diffs in materials of the reeds you tested? Kennedy
