on my blaster i noticed my rear brakes are wearing only one side of the pad...i replaced them like 3 weeks ago and already it is doing it again...the caliper is stationary not on pins...but it looks like the disk is supposed to move back and fourth instead of the caliper but its not it is on splines. am i correct i sprayed some lube on it and letting it soak a bit. i used a brass hammer and tapped close to the center back and fourth lightly and no movement ..if it is supposed to move no biggie i can get it freed up i just dont want to brake it tring to move it if id doesent

those mechanical brakes suck so bad to try and rebuild..its almost not worth it lol. a rear hydro setup isnt too difficult but will set u back about 100-150.

thx ill look up a set i found a set for around 200 complete bolt up dunno what im doing yet lol was saving for a spare engine lol

the rotor should move back and forth freely about 3/4 of an inch..
the cable brakes are real pain but you can get them to work decently
start with a "Shorty"" brake cable, take the pads out of the caliper and sand the inside of the caliper and greese it well so that the pad can slide freely back and forth. put it all back togeather and it should work decently.

ok i took it to the mechine shop they got it apart and glass beeded the 2 parts and told me to use antiseeze all the time and grease it after i run in mud or deep water ...they said the antiseize wont wash off so itll last better than grease..now it works perfect..but still looking for a replacement to hydro brakes thanks :)
