I recently rebuilt motor and have created a new problem. Torque, It keeps pulling the left side (chain side) forward I have to constantly realign and tighten the chain properly. Any solutions or tips ?

like larry said you adjust he straightness of the axle with the chain tentioners. you also want to make sure when you do that the sprockets are riding straight with each other too. If they aren't you will be able to see that the chain looks crooked from behind.

which bolts are you talking about tightning? there are two long bolts that go through your carrier to attach it to the swingarm. you loose those so that the carrier can move for adjustments made with the tensioners located down at the back of the carrier where the skid plate mounts up. you loosen the lock nut that holds the adjustment bolt in place on both sides. you tighten the bolts to tighten the chain and to get the axle adjusted straight you tighten or loosedn them accordingly, then retighten the lock nuts and then carrier bolts. your axle should not move after that.

I had the same problem last fall ... Turned out to be bad rear axle bearings. I ordered a rear axle bearing kit from Moose Racing, installed them, adjusted my chain adjusters, tightened the carrier bolts back up and used some lock tight and was back to riding straight again ! Make sure you use loctight, I've lost a lock nut off the carrier bolt while riding before because I didn't use any. It put a hurtin on my bearings real quick.

scotj77 I noticed in your picture of your bike you have raptor/YFZ heel guards, did you have to trim any on the other side for the kick starter ? Do you have a picture of the other side ?

and yes it makes it more difficult to kick the kickstarter. you have to put your heel only on the kicker or your foot hits the guard

I can assure you I have more torque than you, and this just does not happen. There is another problem.
Something is misaligned. Check your bearings, axle nuts, chain tensioners (even), and carrier bolts.

Have you recently mixed sprockets or chain, if so the chain could be ramping creating extreme strain on the fastenings, bearings and framework?
