Proper (or correct) chain "tightness"

How much "play" should there be in the chain?

I am new to Blasters but mine seem "looser" than they should be?

when I lift the chain, I'd estimate it at 1.5" of "give".

Way too tight!!!

30 to 40mm with rider on the bike.
