anyone run the pro honda hp2 at 40:1?

I run Honda Tranny Fluid , and Hondas off the trail . Thats about it. I am a Super M guy , love the low smoke properties it has . Never tried klotz , can't find it out here , I had amsoil Dominator for the shee , but shee drinks super M now too.
Good Luck Fed

i ran nothing but pro honda hp2 for 2 years in my 01 blaster, cr125 cr250 and both my 81 and 82 250r's but always ran at 32:1.. just wondering if anyone has ran 40:1 with it... i guess it wouldnt be much to jump a main, but its very happy where its jetted at now

thew more oil in your premix the 'thicker' the fuel mix is so there for 32:1 would requir a jetting change... i spend time testing and tuning my jetting to get it dialed in where its at and the machine runs flawless, and i dont wanna go threw the retune process untell spring when it gets warm

plus 40:1 is easier to mix, half a bottle per 5 gallons. stupid reason to pick that but it works. lol

I used Hp2 at 40:1, even though its meant to run at 32:1. If you mix a whole bottle of that Hp2 into 4 gallons of gas, its 32:1, if you mix the whole bottle again and use 5 gallons, thats 40:1. Just make sure you fill your gas can up at the pump or somewhere you can measure out the fuel very precise. I would pre-pay and tell them I want 4.8 gallons of gas, that way if its off a little bit, it would be rich....It smoked a bunch at 32:1, i switched to a very close 40:1 and it evened it out very nice...Hope this helps.

good info... the 32:1 is for the cr bikes since thats what its 'designed for' i dont see a problem with it since any good oil can be run at damn near any ratio you want i always do 4 gallons that way it only sits around for a week at most,
even though i run non ethanol gas i still dont let fuel sit around

Neither do I, If I do leave it sitting though, I always throw a half can of sea foam to get rid of any moisture and it also boost octane. I always keep gas in a dark place too! letting it sit in the sun (hot or cold) decreases its octane!

my gas is stored in a garage no matter what, and i used the same can for every batch, and i messure my own with the ratio cup, my mixes are always spot on because i do the messuring every time :) i wont let anyone else mix my gas

Great call! I dont have to worry about my 2 strokes much, maybe 3 times a year i will mix gas for the blaster (its in arizona). The only time i mix gas is in chainsaw, weed whacker, and blower! I still use 32:1 HP2 in those little things!

lol i used hp2 in my snowblower last winter,... and klotz this year... a winter and a half and havent had to change a plug

thats whats in it right now.. but i was opening and sniffin oil at work ( better smelling the better the oil) and found one that was decent so thats whats in it right now since i ran outta gas snowblowin at 930 at night

back to back klotz snowmobile techniplate vs pro honda hp2 both mixed 40:1..

klotz smells better, but throttle seems to responce a little better and seat of the pants feels like it makes alittle more power and revs a bit faster
