while my bikes torn down, i was thinking about powder coating my frame, a-arms, front bumper, rear grab bar, swing arm, foot pegs, and nerf bars all black.

Then i got to thinking how expensive that will be and started wonering about truck bedliner spray that they sell in walmart.

I think i am going to try to do the roll on bedliner on all of those parts, and hopefully it will hold up. what do you guys think?

I also want to paint my wheels black. should i use spray paint? or the bedliner stuff as well?

Thanks guys!

Idk about the bedliner. It might not look that good you know??? but, if you like the way that bedliner looks then try it out. I have spary painted wheels before and it looks okay and holds up okay.

My suguestion is that if you want a really nice looking bike I would just save up and PC. I think it will be worth it in the end. Also, timsyfz, d.jackson_12 and I all powdercoad and coudl do the smaller things for cheaper a shop.

I have spray painted about everything on my Blaster with Krylon Fusion and green automotive primer. The paint holds up pretty good if you clean up the metal good. I would spray paint everything before I put alot of money into powdercoating so you know you like it first.

well today itried to do the grab bar. i cleaned it with degreasing soap and sanded the hell out of it. i only got te bottom done, and with only 2 coats so far it looks sweet!

You need to do serious prep for the bedlineer. It won't stick to the clean, smooth, painted metal very well. You'd have to rough everything up, clean it VERY well, and then apply. The walmart bedliner isn't that good, gotta get name brand stuff.

I would recommend cleaning the frame up, scuffing it up a bit and doing your best with spray paint. It's all about the prep work. Actually painting it is the easy part!

i hear that! i literally wrapped the sandpaper around the grab bar and just went back and forth back and forth almost til it was all down to the original steel silver color

i would like to but i dont want to spend all that money just to find out that i cant ix my motor

Yeah go with what you can afford. However keep in mind that you may put more out in front for powder coating will save you re-doing it in the future. But like you said it may not be worth the cost if you have to fix your motor 1st.
