So i was thinking about getting the blaster ported i heard it really helps with power maybe even a bore an new pistions anyone know of good places in the maryland area maybe even pa or somewhere not to long of a drive. Also know anythings about the price of getting the bore an porting done? This is something i dont wanna do myself so no how to forums will be need lol.

no driving involved, except to the local post office.
i ship all my stuff to ken oconnor racing, one of the best in the business in my and others on here opinion
check out the link below, then give ken a call

Alright Awk that sounds good so its 175 dollars to get my bike ported do i send the whole motor or just the head... how long does it take an is it worth 175$?

just call ken, he will explain everything.
the shipping/packaging info is on the website.
i believe ken is still within a couple week return time
(before ken, i had qoutes of 6-8 weeks return time from other builders)

send the cylinder/existing piston for inspection, ken will call and guide you from there
ship the head to have the head modified also

it is worth every penny !

Alright well i guess ill have to give him a call after work Boring an porting the engine will pretty much return it to a newish state.. After that only thing i would have to worry about is air leaks an my bottom end pretty mcuh right?

a leakdown tester is a must in any 2 stroke mechanics toolbox, it will pinpoint any airleaks and keep you from frying pistons, another "worth every penny" item
contact member slickertanyou, he sales a very well built and affordable unit..............

I can also vouch for O Connor Racing. He did the porting and head work on my Blaster and it is a huge improvement over stock in terms of power output. Ken is also easy to talk to and doesnt mind answering your questions.

Well thats what i want it seems like no one has anyhtings bad to say about ken so it has to be an okay place to send my motor. also i need to guy a new sprocket for the front i still havent got it... i wanna change the front back an chain all at once... What teeth for the front an back would be good for a ported an bored blaster i think i wanna go just 20 over cuz then i could still bore another 20 if something happened correct?

i like the stock 13/40 sprockets for "quickness" in the tight woods trails i ride,
others like to jump to 14/40 for more top speed in more open areas

do both sprockets and chain together, if any are worn, it will wear the other new pieces
i like these myself from "forward powersports" and "racedriven", they come in a few different sprocket size combo's................

more power/o-ring

more speed/non o-ring

ken will tell you if and how much your cylinder needs to be bored over, if at all.
over boring adds no extra power, that will all come from the porting and head mod

rite now im running 13/40 on 18" tires, and now that im getting my cylinder ported and head rechambered, im probs gonna run 14/40-38 i havent decided yet.

boreing does add a small amount of power, but its hardly noticiable. and u wont notice it at all because ur getting ported. but thats y they sell BBK kits. it does add tiny bit of power.

so your saying that the bike will not have no extra power or speed at all after porting an boringing it an adding a new oversized pistion????.... an thanks awk so i ride trails a good bit but i also have this hige open feild i run through alot i can grab alll 6 gears out thtere so for a balace between both 13/40 or 14/40?... i guesss !3/40 for the tourque an power?/

i prefer the 13/40, as most of my riding, and that i care the most about is in the trails, i could care less how fast i am in the open feilds

no. what im saying is that boreing adds a tiny bit of power, cause ur using a bigger piston. but you wont notice it at all, because ur getting your cylinder ported. the porting is where most/all your power is comiing from. and 1 tooth in the front sprocket is equilvent to 3 in the rear. wht size tires are you running now?
