Porting/Carb ???'s

Ok so here goes I have a stock bore,stock head no port or polish yet how much porting can I get away with on this thing and will it make a bigger difference to me will i notice it right now I have veforce 3 reeds/reedcage,fmf silencer 14/38 gearing air box lid removed and she hauls pretty good now and has plenty of bottom end and what kinda results will I get out of the port and polish and then I have a carb question where a good place to find a nice 33mm carb and what kind should I go with cause that will be what i get after the port and polish and with port and polish should I rejet again I am up to a 270 main right now.

Porting will make a huge improvement . You can go with an aggressive trail port.

I don't really trail ride I usually do alot of hillclimbing

With that gearing you probably want a lot of top end am i right? if so im assuming you almost never lug around if so you could get more porting than a tradional trail bike. Also if you dont need as much rotational mass to lug around you could light the flywheel & or counter balencer and get a big carb for topend.

but if you dont want crazy power than a agg trail should work

Also what is this head mod and is it a DIY or someone has to do it for you?

Head mod is best done by one of the builders here. If you get porting and head mod and you need more top end go with a 33mm pwk. Do you have an a/m header? Or just silencer?

flotek, chutzell, wildcard, oconnor, just about every builder can mod a head for ya, waaay more power to be had by getting it ported though. why not do both?? lol

and a full pipe will be needed to do this. it will run just not to its best abilitys.
