please help. pipe spitting too much oil?

i started this thread on a whim, just bored, and its grown to this......im pretty sure i still have the 290. but i promise you it didnt. i reset my air/fuel. nothin. im gonna try a 310 probly. its also bored.
 
idk y it wouldnt start with a new jet did you make sure its getting gas and spark you might not have spark or something could be blocking the flow of gas
 
well i think it would be a good idea to change the plug. i guess the plug you had in was so used to your jetting that it woulnt work with a leaner jetting so put in a new plug and put the 290 in see how that goes
 
I have a PC pipe too....and I'm running a 270, with a K&N, no lid, and the needle is in the stock position (second slot from the top)....and its perfect. I dont know how you are running a 350 without issues...
 
310? stock is a 230 i am running a 280 now with 32:1 mix. i was using a 290 but even that was to big. i have a 40 over kit dg exhaust which is sh*t and oil block off.
 
dude idk how ur blaster runs fine with a 350jet. i was trying out jetting for my blaster and i tried a 360jet when was tuning (LRD, CLOSED AIRBOX, UNI filter)and i started up the hill 20% incline and it wouldnt move just SPEW smoke out and if let the clutch out all the way it just stalled. then i took my lid off it did somewhat better but it was STILL way too rich.
i can take my key out and kick my blaster FULL THROTTLE for one min and it will still start without a plug clean but itll take like 10 kicks no fuel.

try this throw a 290 in and kick it until it starts. try starting it with throttle slightly pressed in. check ur plug after every 30-50 kicks. try using choke and no choke.

wat kinda plug are u using? stock? is ur airfilter clean? wats ur needle set at?

if all else fails. go back to square 1 try putting ur stock exhaust on and putting the 230 jet in and ur lid back on and see if it runs. get back to me! ASAP i wanna FIX THIS FOR U!
 
i use NGK BR8ES plugs, the filter is a pretty brand new uni, i dont really recall ever setting my needle any differently. got a write up? if im gonna pull the carb apart tomorrow i might as well check.
 
i second that 290-310 is ur ballpark. ull notice a big change in performance and dont be scared to blow ur bike up. just run some extra oil in it. i ran 101 octane in mine once i felt i was running leaner so i dumped some extra oil in boy did she smoke and haul ass!

Do you run the 101 octane everyday? I run 110 octane what they call "Turbo Blue" here in southern indiana
 
i found the jet in my garage. it was a 270 jet. not sure if thatll make a difference, but thats what i tried last, and it was about 2 months ago.....mousey we should rip. i have a pickup ill shoot up to you!

well i guess it depends on height temperature and stuff like that. and i wouldnt think that a blaster would need a 330. but i dont know everything when it comes to jetting so idk
