Pit Bikes

hey guys, i'm kind of getting into pit bikes. i haven't bought anything yet, but my eyes are open. looking for an xr or crf dirt bike, but i heard ssr bikes are good too.


post pics of your pit bikes here and give me an idea of what i'm getting into.

my friend had a nasty little klx 110. I guess they make like clutch conversions and stuff for them.. it was an awesome little bike and a blast to ride

If you actually plan on using a pit bike for the pits on race day, or to cruise around the local swap meets/flea markets, Id get an old Honda Trail 50 or Trail 70. I used to have a Mini-Trail 70. They are very cool little bikes that can be made street-legal in some states and are still fun in the woods.

That said, if you're gonna be using the bike almost exclusively offroad, I dont have any experience with the newer little pit bikes, which are probably what you would want. Those old Honda's don't like very rough terrain or being jumped. Nowhere near enough suspension.

I have a little kx 60 it sure is fast for what it is but if your looking for strictly a pit bike i would not recomend it.

What are you looking to do with it? are u making a track at your house? or is it for the pits at a track??
