little hick town in Ontario, Canada
some guy offered me 4000 for my banshee, but said hes outta the coutry right now so he can pay with paypal. i told him i would have to make sure i get the money before i let him come pick it up and he said ok. but is there any way he could scam me if i give him my paypal/email adress?

yes, but what i would do is once you get the money. withdraw it and put it into a bank account. once you have the money in your bank account. close the paypal account and be $4000 richer.
oh and you can give my the banshee if you want.

i would just tell the guy to get a money order and do it that way. or just bring cash when he comes to pick it up.

out of the country? f**ck that. it has bad news all over it imo.

oh, wait i see you in CA now. he could just be down in the states, but still.

That does seem fishy to me. I mean people do leave the country and some buy no choice, but I'd tell him who ever he is sending to pick up the quad bring the cash, He can paypal that person the money! I have a feeling this isn't kosher.

i told him i am unable to use paypal, but i will hold it for him if hes serious about buying it and he can bring cash.

just wanted to make sure he cant be stealing money from me or anything like that because i gave him my dad paypal adress, but my dad is going to cancel the account.

i would give him a date that you will hold onto it. ask him when he will be back in the country to pick the quad up.

good on your part. i'd never consider selling to anyone that wanted to send money like that. FTF with cash is the only way and even then you'd better watch yourself.

Yea it could a be scam, this happens all the time, you have to make the buyer send the money as a gift otherwise he/she can file a complaint or something like that and get all their money back, and have a free quad. I would recommend always to do business with machines in cash, you cant lose with that!
