ive got a set of red plastic that looks like it has sat out in the sun for 3 years and is really starting to fade and i need a way to paint it

I have done custom paint jobs on cars before, and just recently bought a blaster and took the plastics off of them and painted them myself. I sanded them with sand paper and them did three coats of primer 10 minutes a wait period between coats, after last coat of primer wait 30 minutes than start with the color you want your plastics done same thing three coats wait 10 minutes between coats. After the last coat of color wait 30 minutes than 3 coats of plastic clear coat sealer, same thing 3 coats and then let sit for 24 hours before putting them back on the blaster. When i took it out the next day my friends thought I had ordered new plastics. Only cost me about 40 dollars.

My cousin had a purple/pink blaster and we rattle canned it using krylon fusion for plastic. We roughed it up with 220 and cleaned it off good before painting. We did about 5 thin coats, enough to burn up two cans. Its held up going on 10 years now.

Just my two cents
