Thanks guys, I'm going to clear coat it tomorrow and maybe throw some accents on that I've been thinking about, we'll see how ambitious I'm feeling tomorow.

That looks great so far, now you need to get a different set of front fenders to match the looks of the rears.

i hope u sprayed that with plastic adhesion promoter before u primed it or all that paint is gonna flake off . trust me i do this for a living

if he used krylon fusion it holds up great i did mine and dint use promer or nothing i didnt even use clear coat and they hold up great except where i spiled some gas but you can fix the paint easily

^^^ you havent done any bush riding then have you. once u start scrapin some branches it starts to look like crap.

i do alot of bush riding i get little chips here and there not all the time mostly when i gota ride threw thorn bushes but there fixed easy if i woulda clear coated then they would have turned out 1000 times better but im gana redo then when spring hits

i think if you have enough time to paint plastic, your not riding enough. wasted valuble sand box time. lol

back to reality now

thinking about painting the plastic on the 100.00 blasket case.

is there any articles here on procedures? ive done it in the past to a warrior and it
didnt last too long.

thanks

great work dude. i'm not tryin to knock the look or anything but those fenders seem to dwarf the rearend of the blasty. are you widning the axle or is it already? if it were mine and that is already a wider axle i would shave them a little. just my personal preference. but the paint is lookin great!

paint is paint i dont care who makes it if it isnt sprayed with adhesion promoter

its gonna come off i just bought a parts blasty with painted plastics and as a test i blew compressed air thru a blowgun against it and lo and behold i blew the paint off the whole panel lmao and it was scuffed up underneath also

I just painted with krylon fusion and clear coated, I'm not expecting a professional job or for it to last forever. My friend has been riding for the past year with his plastics painted in the same fashion and they haven't cracked, flaked, or scratched at all. If it lasts a couple months or a year like his I'll be happy. I have no problem repainting them again later down the road.

I don't have a wider rear and don't plan on it at this time. They are bigger than the stock fenders but they are only like 2 inches wider on the sides. Those pictures were before I had the brackets on and they look a bit better now. I like the look so I'm happy with it as is, others are entitled to their opinions as well. Thanks for the comments.

As for the not riding enough comment, I completely agree. Unfortunately we are waiting on a rear shock for my friends quad. He bought a "fresh rebuild" shock on eBay and when we got it on it was leaking oil, so now two weeks later we are still waiting to get it back from them repairing it. I've only got him to ride with and he never wants to ride as much as I do so we don't ride nearly enough. Sucks but riding alone is not much fun either... Gotta deal with the cards you are dealt I suppose.

i agree with you that paint is paint. all im saying is that mine have hld up great i do a good lot of bush riding and most of the time if i get a chip its cause i wacked a big old thorn bush. i like to call them son of a biotch bushes because wen they hit me i always so ouch son of a biotch lol. im morew than happy with how they held up. i only sent like 25 bucks on paint if that.
