Oil mixing.. the right way....

Hi I am new to oil mixing.. so I just bought a 20 liters gasoline canister/container? ...


I just wanted to make it easy.. instead of 32:1 I divide in 2 = 16:0.5

So that is 16 liters of gasoline.. and 0.5 liter oil..


1. But whats the best way to mix it for best result? To pour all the gasoline in first and then the oil and then shake the hell out of it? ...


2. Put the oil in first then gas and then shake it?


3. Is shaking the right way? Or is there a completly diffrent method?

I normally pour the oil into the gas can then pump the gas in and let the gas flowing in do the mixing. It never hurts to slosh it around a bit before you pour it in the bike though. IDK if it stays suspended in gas permanently or if it settles out over time?

my thougt was also to pour oil in first then the gas and a little shake.. but hey thats a good question! DOES the oil stay suspended in the gas permanently or does it settle at the "bottom" over time????

That could be cool the geet some clearance about.. as many have their Blaster staying still for some time without useing them..

I think the stuff stays mixed....like dissolves like, as they're both oil products.

The way I do it is I usually get either exactly one gallon in a small jerry can or exactly five gallons in the big one, and then I have a ratio-rite, or whatever it's called....used to have the one that's cone shaped but now I have one that's just a cylinder with a cap. I pour the correct amount of oil into the gas can, with the gas already in there, and then I pour some of the gas into the ratio-rite, cap it, shake it up, and that gets out the rest of the oil. I pour that back into the mix and then I shake it up real good. Like I said, like dissolves like, so the stuff should say in solution.

some oils will settle i use to use that yamalube stuff that seemed to after 2 weeks.. so i switched to klotz R-50 and thats red and it stays suspened

I just get a 5gal tank and put the oil in and shake it for a little while always have worked for me and never had the two seperate though

Buy a ratio rite cup for 4 bucks at the store.
