Hello to everyone and Happy Thanksgiving
Is it common for the oil light to be on while the Blaster engine is at idle.
I am not Familiar with oil injection. Cannot find an adjuster for oil output.
On the safety side I am running mix fuel in the tank.
Just did the top end and carb rebuild, everything else works great.

The light is a reminder to top up the oil tank.
The yamaha "Auto lube" oil injection system is a VERY,very, reliable. There is no output adjustment. No need for one. No need to pre-mix if you have the oil injection system.

Here's a good read...

I looked for a post to explain more oil equals lean but can't find one. I don't explain things well but basically....... oil and fuel is supplied to the engine in a ratio to match air flow. By running premix and the injector (providing the injection system is working) you increase the amount of oil per amount of fuel. Thus lowering your fuel to air ratio. Less fuel to the same amount of air creates a fuel lean condition, causing more heat. More heat causes more expansion. More expansion causes more friction. More friction causes more heat. Snowball effect and you'll quickly need another engine rebuild. If you seize and break the piston skirt, there is a good chance you'll need new cases when the crank pushes chunks out piston out the bottom of the cases. Don't run the engine until you get your oil mixture corrected, one way or another.

Do not run premix unless you change the jetting.

A ratio of 32:1 will make a difference of at least 1 jet size over un mixed fuel.

The oil takes the place of fuel, the mixture becomes oil rich but gas lean.

More oil = less fuel = lean mix = heat = BOOM.

I agree, do not even start that engine again until you figure out which way you wanna run your oil,
either with the proper injection type oil in the tank and pumped in, or deleting the oil injection system and running a good mix oil @ 32:1
you cannot do both, and doing so is not a safety factor, it is a recipe for disaster.
