Official 250x/300ex thread

yeah like a compression test, i thaught around 150 would be good.. im really liking the idea od the 350x swap or the xr600 swap. i need more info on the 600 swap though, im gonna swap something now that i have 2 diffrent toys, i wanna sell either the blasty motor or the 250 motor and buy either a yz490 or a 350x/xr600 motor
 
please please please for the love of trikes DONT put a 350x motor in unless you get just the motor and the wiring, please dont tear a running riding 350x trike apart just to stick the motor in!!


sorry ima fan of trikes and there gettin harder and harder to find
 
lol if the 600 motor is not to difficult id love to do that, but if i do tear down a 350x ill be sure to send you pics of the distruction...hahahaha ill even sell you the rest of the trike, send it piece by piece...lol
 
cuz its the 'old school factor' ... i will have another atc250r soon enough... wish i had 1600 there is a guy sellin a fully restored 85 tri z, mint condition with some mods.... they are wierd to jump and i wont jump one... but i want one for ice riding

I took apart my carb today. Its a 36mm sudco mikuni and the main jet in it is a 137.5 I'm gonna try and down jet it because that jet was used when it had the 350 stroker in it. Its back to stock now just bored .80 over.

I gotta take the valve cover off tommorrow and insert some helicoils in the valve cover screw threads in the head. Its leaking oil and most of the damn threads are stripped out from people torquing them to 150ft lbs or not using a torque wrench.
 
yeah it is the best thread..lol a 350 stroker kit? wow whats that consist of? wonder if a 350x cylinder/head would work on a 250 bottom end..?
 
I have a 01 300ex and was wondering if anyone knows if nerf bars off a 250ex or anything else will work without having to do any mods.
 
I dont think they will work. I'm not to familiar with a 250ex but Im pretty sure the frames alot different cause the engine sits sideways in it.
 
no clue on the 250ex.. since there semi auto and shaft drive alots diff on them...

if i remember right the 350kit, consists of stroker crank, piston and rods, jugg needs to be re sleeved,, case needs to be machined to fit everything though.. something like %80 increase in power over stock
 
yeah, one thread shouldnt get complaints... i found a lakota today for 600, i was like damn i paid less than that for my x and its in alot better shape the kota was ruff..lol and from what i remember there slow
