thinkin about picking up another atc 250r... if not gettin my old one back.... well the stock exhaust on them pretty much sucks.. prob alot better than a blaster stock exhaust but yeah....... dg is the only brand that lists a exhaust for them.. dg nationl series... but says sold out and has said that for a while...

my question is.... would a cr250 dirt bike pipe work good on one?? since there basicly a dirt bike with a axle and 2 rear wheels??? or a pipe for aliquid cooled 250r which would make it a right side pipe than??? can anyone help me out with this????

youtube shows a bunch with pipes.. but they prob been on them machines since 1985 lol
 
i see a fmf gold series pipe in my royal distributing book listed for 85-87. but those are liquid cooled if im correct??? and u sould like ur talkin bout air cooled right?? which is older so i got nuttin for it
 
81-84 are air cooled left side pipe
85-86 are liquid cooled right side pipe
86 also was the first year for the trx 250r


im planing on buildin a rice rider out of it/one... lowerer rear, with 20 inch mx tires studded up. and custom made nerfs so i can get low off the side and stay there, along with makin a vented front fender to help with air flow to the motor, and air scoops to help with flow, it wil be a simple set up, stock carb, piped and jetted with a uni filiter and a driled air box lid.... nothing spectacular just s fun cruiser//// sideways machine for the ice
 
i know.... like i said.. im having issues locating aproper pipe for it... im sure a lil tweeking can ba done to fit aright side 250r pipe or acr250 pipe.. buddy has a lrd 250r pipe i could mod its for atrx so the section from flange on motor to first bend would need to be shortend
 
yeah.. righter pipe.... id think the paul turner would be the best option..

ill just deal with a a/m silencer once i get one, a custom made pipe isnt a option just need somehting better than stock, i did find out though the trx 250r drag pipes WILL work on the atc 250r's a ftz with a weld on silencer would do just fine on the lake
 
well i can tell u now that my dad says that DG pipes a re the worst A/m pipe to buy for the 250rs and also the 250r already come with air scoupe that mount to the tank and another thing CT racing pipes are one of the best for a 250r...thats what my dad has and its supost to be one of the best pipes ever made for a 250r but prob expensive though
 
well they are expensive and im sure the dirt bike pipe will work.....but i was just throwing that out there for you....just comeing from experience with my dad and if u want to check more into 250r got to 3wheeler.org its a message board my dad is on like 24/7....if u want his user name for the site PM so u can ask him about this kinda stuff or if u are lookin for parts to buy if u get a 250r u can ask him....we have a buncha stock parts left over from the rebuild so just lmk
 
well .. i talked to my buddy that has my old 84 250r, he is interested in the blaster, and that r just needs a pipe, and jetted for the pipe, and rear brakes dont work, cant reember why i think just needs to be bleed, and its got 22s on it but ill drop down to 20s
