Hello.

I put my mac book pro up on cl. This guy wants to trade a 96 blaster for it. Don't know much about quads. My laptop is worth about 700$. Is it a fair trade.

He said that he rebuild the motor and added 50cc. Also spent 400 in fixing it up. Let me know what you think.

ask him if it has a big bore aftermarket cylinder, or just stock cylinder bored for a bigger piston
chances are, it's bored .50 over, that adds like a cc or 2, not 50.
it's a common misconception.

Ask the results of the leak and compression test, and what procedure was used for break in.

So can you not look at the pics? Looks like it has some surface rust on frame. Honestly I will never ride it. I'm a 2 wheel guy. I just believe that it's worth more than my laptop and it's a trade up. Then I will trade up with the quad for hopefully a dirt bike.

It depends on your area and the condition of the Quad. Around me No one wants to pay much for a neglected stock blaster. Aftermarket parts are where its at.

You can check Craigslist in your area to see what they are going for in similar condition.

Saw some other blasters in the 96 - 97 - 98 year range for 1000. He said he paid 1100 for it last year. And that a blaster from 96 is bound to have some rust.

Id trade that blaster looks pretty good and has a couple after market parts

Looks like a good deal. Aftermarket exhaust, front bumper and grab bar, nerfs and rear hydros. Plastics look good and the tires are good. IMO you got a good deal on the trade.

Alright I'll pick it up this weekend. To bad i can never ride it because I have no way to transport it around. Maybe i can get a good dirt bike for it though. Seems like people like trading motorsports for motorsports.
