Whats up everyone. I just stumbled across this forum looking for parts. But im pretty happy i did. I have a 1998 thats bored to 240 with a Wiseco piston and carbon fiber reeds. 3" extended swing arm and rear wheel spacers, Ambush tires on ITP rims, full FMF Powercore exhaust, and auto fuel mix delete. Look foward to meeting everyone.

Take that inline fuel filter out. They've been known to create problems..and welcome, this place rocks.
Would I have to change the jetting or anything like that if i remove it? Sorry for being a noob my dad usually does all the work but i want to start doing it myself. So if there are any other basic mods that you know of let me know :)

Very nice ride. You need to check out your jetting and get back to us on that with, along with elevation, temps, filter type, and lid (on, off or drilled). Also get up with Awk08 if you need a leak tester (very important!), and while your at it you should get his hydro brake setup, but I hear he's been pretty busy

Like what do you mean? Any advice would be helpful this is the first 2 stroke ive ever owned and ive only had it for a year so i dont know how much maintenance they require.

i just meant that the fuel line looks weird
and more importantly the locking tab for the top cover is missing
with the stock tors brick on top they come loose very easily/sometimes even with locking tab.

I really appreciate you trying to help, but you're going to have to dumb it down a bit. The only other bikes ive owned before this was a pw80 and a ttr125 which both required 0 maintenance. So what is a "Locking tab", and a "tors brick". Once again sorry for being dumb

just stick around and read through posts/threads for a bit
you will become very knowledgeable:)
as long as the top cover stays tight it is okay i guess
and jetted properly with no airleak in your engine lol
i know alot of info but it will make sense soon enough

And I second what speedy said above. Stick around, read the stickies/threads, and it will make sense. Lots of good people and info here.
Thanks guys, It kinda sucks bc I leave for college in about a year and a half and ill be selling it then. But i want to keep it in good shape so i can sell it easier so ill be reading around!

Welcome to the site! The best thing to do is read up on here about whatever your trying to do. And ask questions, usually everyone is more than willing to give advise.

Welcome.

If you want to keep it nice and running good with little maintenance then do like they all said above and read on some of the stickied threads (threads at the top of each forum section). Especially the how to leak test and pretty much the whole carburetor section.

Its always ok to ask silly questions. We would much rather explain something that may seem silly than disaster happen because you didn't understand something.

Unlike other forums I've seen, everyone here is helpful and not jerks trying to act cool or say theirs is better than yours.
