New 30mm OKO, geting it to run thread

It sounds like it has good spark. A nice clear "click" each stroke.

yea, but i dont see a good blue spark. I'll try the harness from 1bad442's quad and see if it makes any difference.

if that doesent fix it I supose i should look at the carb as being the problem, or i'll let the local bike shop look at it. He's a pretty good guy, not a a dealship, its a dirtbike mx shop so he should be pretty knowledgable of 2 strokes, and last time he pressed some wheel bearings in for me he has about 3 personal owned blasters. just wish he wasent so expensive...85$ per hour

ok well Ive put the new wireing harness, coil, and CDI in.

15 kicks, and i changed the sparkplug, it was drenched in oil....

so then i put the new plug in, after about 10 kicks it finally fired, but would not stay running. but now it is fireing everytime i kick it?

anyideas? Im thinking to start with I need a smaller jet. (48insalled)

if i cant get this working right, im going to the old harness and am goign to try using the Jumpers in the TORS. and if that fails, its goign to a shop because im pretty much done fooling with it now, and am out of ideas beyond this point.

***edit*** also, not sure if this would impact it any, but i did not hook the headlight, or tail light back up.

the lighting circuit has nothing to do with the ignition so it shouldn't matter you didn't hook any of that up.

Do you have any more pilot jets on hand? Try them, it's not nearly as difficult to change out jets as it is to cough up enough money to pay that shop.

yea ive got all of them from 35-58

Im thinking ill try 42, and 45. I really dont see it being anything smaller than a 42.

here's a new video of it now.

I'm running a 45 in my +3 stroked ported motor, It liked that better than any other. I had to change the needle but it would run even with a 70 in it. Even running really rich , it should still start up and run. It's sounds like it right there. I sounds to be like the choke is not pulled all the way out. Only thing i can think of. How did you adjust the slide?? With the idle screw or with the adjustment on top of carb? Suppose to use the top of carb adjustment to set the space 1/16". Then the idle screw is for just that- the idle speed adjustment. Hope it helps-bob

the old one was a 2000. Im not sure what year the one that 1bad442 sold me was. but its suposed to be from a pre 2002 blaster.

if the key is sherred what do i replace? perhaps a picture of a bad one woudl help so i'd know what im really looking for.

if it hte slot on the flywheel that woudl be damaged, or the shaft it sits on?
