Im thinking about getting a blaster, but the guy told me that he starts it with starting fluid it will rev up really high and when you take off it dies... i am really wanting one but dont have alot of money so is this an easy cheap fix or can someone at least tell me what is wrong with it. thanks for the help it is greatly appreciated

sounds like a no fuel issue...could be as simple as cleaning the petcock and taking the carb apart and cleaning it

yb is quick, all the girls call him "quick draw mcgraw" or is that quick withdraw

Do a compression check before you buy it. If this dude is using that much either to start a cold motor the rings are probably shot. Starting fluid instantly washes all the oil from everything it comes in contact with.

Thanks for your guys help. Now if it does have good compression do i need to just clean the carb. or is could there be a different issue besides the carb. and rings. thanks

well blasters seem to run perfectly fine at 120psi. no one has had a problem with that compression as far as i know. in fact yb ran his motor at 120psi for 6 years and was still running fine when he tore it down to start his build

i think its the carb also, but if it doesnt fix it make sure the float bowl is working cuz that could be causing fuel not to enter the intake.

if that guy is using starting fluid........there is gonna be more issues than u think, starting fluid has no lubes in it, so its like starting the engine dry

u can seize a engine real fast using starting fluid
