I need a set of shocks for a big guy. tried getting a used elka was set for 180 lb person, nice w remote resy but not what i need. Any help much appreciated thanks james

Well James, I'm a big guy and I run a 400EX rear shock with the preload turned all the way up.
If you already have an elka shock, contact them about respringing it. They can tune it for 250+ lbs if your pockets are deep enough.

I'm 235-240 and the LTZ400 shock felt good to me. Mounts the same as the 400 EX shock but a little stiffer according to most people.
I also have a Raptor 700 rear shock that I have not tried yet. It is the same length as the stock blaster shock. May need spacers or mods to fit. I am not sure yet. I would be willing to sell it if you are interested.
