check the rules where you race too... the 200/ blaster class originated with the 200x 3 wheelers (ama wise) , it got political when people started sleeving down 250r motors to race 200, so the rules where changed to air cooled 200. as for reliabilty, properly built and maintained, they hold together. neglect a built motor a little bit and it won't be happy. the dt was rated at 30hp by yamaha which probably translates to 25, I have seen the cylinder, head etc theres better technology in the la sleeve/ct cylinder. for the DT you will need, cylinder, head, powervalve servo, complete stator and flywheel, cdi, rectifier battery, then have the cylinder ported, clutch cover and waterpump assembly, have a gear made to drive the waterpump (the dt uses a dfferent clutch basket and primary drive ratio and gear cut,) not trying to discourage you, just letting you know it more than bolting on a cylinder and hanging a radiator.
