hey got this idea im gonna do soon here im gonna make a set of longer a-arms to fit the YFZ450 shocks. i got the machines to do it notcher, bender, welders everything. im stuck on 2 things though. 1. how to do the bushings like how to get the stuff inside to fit the mounts for them like to keep them in place. 2. iv been doing some research on some companys and insted of the blasters straight no bend up in that arm. companys are putting bends there why? so the ball joint points straight up when no tire on. what is that for? anybody got any info i just need a set of YFZ450 front shocks and im starting this project! so i need info fast? im actully gonna do this not just asking! thanks

when you get aftermarket a-arms the ends are at an angle so that the balljoint doesn't bind up when the arm moves up and down. If you're going to make your own, take your time figuring out your angle. I've watched a guy snap his ball joints on his home made a-arms. He actually made 4 different sets until he got the angle right

I'm running long travel a-arms, so I won't be able to help you with that but I'm sure someone else on here can. Good luck with your build

ok i havent looked at mine in awhile so i completly forgot whats on the inside of them is there bushings in the inside of the mounts? thats what i want sorry i forgot but ill just pull the new ones i just bought and look how. ok now i just need that angle of the a-arms anybody with aftermarket set that will fit the YFZ450 shocks give me the angle they got on there's. thanks

send me a pm when you get closer to actually doing it. you will need to mke jigs and the ball joint angle will vary depending on how you want to set it up and what ball joints you use. is you have drums/stock spindles, laeger has replaceable ball joints to use.

lay them on a table flat and measure how much they go up in the air. hope that made sense like on stockers you lay them down and they sit there flat no bends

sure do iv been taught by some of the best! i was thinking aluminum to but the whole will it hold up to some huge jumps, my friend wants to make them and sell them so if i cant get good fast production ill be selling them dirt cheap like around $200 for a set. good idea? i figured all you like them J&J kits and they about 200 so around there these a-arms will be!

ok thanks for the skid plate idea ill definetly put that in the plans, would you guys also buy airboxes to im in the process of doing it now be around or under $50 those will be aluminum also

sure will i got a pj34 that im using for mock up on my blaster and i got acess to any tubing needed!!, and anybody with a 250r shock will be able to mount there rezzi on the left side since ill have it bent out of the way for the lines!!
