Couple photos of my engine as it is now. Will be getting a big clean and work done on it some time.
Looks like it may have had a leak or one in the pass. on the right. Will be doing a leak test on it and compression test.
Oil pump gone and water pump mount cnc machined down.
Stock seat will be getting recovered. Just need to work out what cover to buy. Any recommendations? Don't want Yamaha on it
Cleaned the tank.
New valves caps will be replaced with aluminum ones when they get here..
Found a rubber grommet for the air-box hole.
Ordered new lower steering stem bushes.

Got my intake boot today. Ordered 2 because they are so cheap.
Perfect fit. Tight fit on carb and didn't need to trim it. 3-Ply 1.5"-2.5" Black Silicone Straight Reducer
Bolted up fine to stock mounting hole in air-box.
Changed this side of the air-box. Made a step on the end of the spacer so if can sit into the hole on the gusset. Will end up making a new spacer as the stock one is about 2mm to short when I make the air-box level.
Do more on it tomorrow.

Yeah it is a nightmare. mine didn't mount up using that mount system they use. Was loose as.
Lower shock mount spacer. I have seen a couple of people but a grease nipple in here. not sure If I will. Shock still needs a clean.
Spacers in place ready to weld for the rear master cylinder guard. Also 1 spacer in the gusset for the frame guard.

Don't worry the bolts I have used are just random ones I had out of bolt bin. Will be getting all new bolts.
That's it for today. I removed the engine and its ready to be welded up. Also be welding the coil bracket and CDI brackets into the frame.

I like the Thumb throttle, i seen those on ebay, they are cool looking and at a great price! You need to give us all a review on it! 
Yeah they look nicely made. will get a photo up today on the inside of it. The movement on the lever is so smooth.

CDI bracket installed. Also breather hose mount for engine still goes up here.

Going to get more parts this week for the leak tester. Start putting parts on the frame this weekend to see what I still need to buy and make. Then it will be off to the media blaster / powder coater.

Spent a lot of today in shed putting parts a the bike and making a list of bolts, nuts, washer that I need. Get some bling ones.
This will be the last time I will be putting the bike together to make sure everything fits and that I have everything I need. Then I will be stripping it all and off to powder cost.

And I installed this only to find my handle bars are to short. Clutch side is fine but the throttle side is not. The brake lever ends up mounting on the bend. . So I have 2 options: Option 1: buy new handle bars (Long ones) or option 2: buy shorter hand grips.
