put the ass end on a milk crate or something to keep wheels off the ground. Loosen the two bolts that hold the carrier (the part the axle goes through) then loosen your chain adjusters push the carrier towards the front of the bike till it stops, if ya still dont have enough- then loosen the adjusters more. After it's on then pull the carrier towards the rear a little bit to take out the big slack, snug the two carrier bolts and use your adjusters to finish the process don't make it too tight. I can't remember the proper adjustment I wanna say 1.15" I think. -Bob
