ok just a simple poll. i want to know what pipe adds the most to the bottom to mid range. Top end would be nice but really want more bottom and mid torque.

they say the shearer is a good bottom/mid pipe, if you can deal with a sh*tty finish and silencers that break and fall off

i have 2 - f7's, on my boys stock carb bike it rips everywhere, on mine it's mid/top

i'd get a toomey for a mostly stock/mild bike

oh, and go back to stock 13 tooth front gearing, i prolly gained 10 - 15 mph on top but lost tons of low end when i put my 14 on,
new 13 in the mail

that was wat was on it when i bought it. i just got it and it would b awesome for how i ride if i just had a little more low end with the speed i have. if it comes to that though i will go back to 13. thanks for the info awk rep was given (not like u need more lol)

If rep only got thrown around this often :P good job gettin him started awk, And i understand what you mean darederek, best of both worlds, making an equal increase in power, though there really isn't a pipe, imo, that does too much for the low end, 2 strokes arn't tractors like 4pokes

2strokes weren't ment to chug like tractors, but having more pull from the lower rpms is a plus for tight woods riding.

thanks for the responses guys! and i do realize that i'm not gonna get a ton of low end with a 2 stroke. just a little more than i have now for those times when u wanna break the rear end loose or get out of a bogging situation where it just isn't easy to downshift

My blasty engine/pipe setup compared to the 250 raptor well there is no comparison, the blasty will snap your freakin neck off if your not careful, the raptor doesn't even compare to that. However the rappy is all stock with just a pipe for now. i have a power pros an it sounds mean and so far is killer. I also been keepin a steal of a deal LRD pipe i got from a member on here it's a two piece. Haven't researched it yet but plan to change up pipes and see if there is any difference!

i would like to try one of these someday to see if people are right about the low end or just havent tried other pipes

i went from a toomey to a shearer and the diff is huge, the power of the shearer comes on a lot faster

example

toomey....baaaaaaaaaaaaahweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

shearer...bahhhhweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i like the shearer for the races i run..tight hare scrambles it works very well and have had no issues what so ever with the pipe

the toomey is a great pipe also i ran it for 6 years

you gotta do some clutch work and keep them rpms up

2-strokes are a delicate beast, the clutch timing is way more necessary for 2-stroke bikes then 4pokes. to early you bog, too far you miss the powerband, just practice dragging, it helps a lot
