Lookin for pics of stock heel guards mounted.

I searched but only found pics of it mounted to the footpeg I don't know if someone cut off the mounts or they were never there on the 89, but just lookin for an idea! I see that there are two rubber pieces on the ends what goes into them? These things?-

the rubber mounts are for the black plastic heel guards that keep your foot out of the tire. and you guessed it.. no foot gaurd mounting tabs on a '89 you need to have someone weld you on some. or cooler yet put some yfz450 heelguards on, its a pretty basic mod and it looks kiler!

Welding is no problem I can do that. I think I may Cut those tabs off and make a metal back. I'm not into the plastic look. The plastic look good on my raptor but i don't like them on the blaster. I need to move the mount on the brake side anyhow as it interfers with the hydro set up. I'll have some pics in a couple days.

im sure you'll come up with sumthin "slick", but i did just grab brand new yfz's, $20 on ebay, for my sons build, look like they're gonna look nice, and i never new they have a metal framework built in the back of them

i just took a metal plate, rouded the edges with a grinder, bent one side down and welded it to those 2 tabs that have the rubber on them. i took the rubber off tho. they look pretty cool and my foot cant go back to the tire.

This is what I have so far, I ran out of Gas for the mig so It'll have to wait till next week end to finish!

I have to round some edges/ paint of course- i hate that- so much for tha paint job on the frame i did!

Yes i did go with double footrest!
