like a dick i lost my key and dont feel like ghetto wiring this so..is it possible to just buy a new cylinder and keys and replace the old system?
makes sense to just swap out but i didnt want to spend $50 and find out that it wont work

Yeah, that would work just fine. but in reality there is no need to getto wire it. just pull one of the wires (either one) off the cylinder and it will start right up. at least that way you could ride till you get a new one. Then when you park it just wire it back up and it wont start without the key again.

ok yeah thats what i meant i just dont want to have to remove the sparkplug every time i kill it.

most everybody knows that trick. but yes. putting a new key cyl on will work. another way of keeping people from stealing it is moving the key to a new location. (my theory is the trash, but thats me, hahaha) hide it is what i meant. dont you find it a bit dangerous to remove the plug cap to kill it? hot engine, and spark. i know its not a high level of spark, but...to each his own.

so he took off teh on off switch that also controls the headlight, but kept the key cylinder? to me thats backwards.

well that was a very easy fix and wow on the ebay service lol i ordered it two days ago it came today and its functional. now i just need a light/killswitch for the handlebars.. if anyone has one pm me please

I'm waiting on some electricals to come in.. I'll have that kill switch, light control for ya..
Have an ignition key setup as well but i see you got that taken care of.

hey mines the same way (no key headlight) the guy i bought it from just turned the idle down so i just have to keep reving it up. but he left the stock kill/headlight controls on it but they don't work
