so my plug (on the outside should look basically clean..until i ride on it more?
i rode it for 5-10 mins.. the electrode looks rich enough

Start with stock needle clip position
next change main to a 330
and use stock pilot
open airbox with a uni filter.

I would consider jetting from there

it will be more than likely that you have to run a 340 main....so dont think my direct jetting is the appropriate jetting..(just saying)

if you get the toomey kit it comes with a 310 jet but you may need to go richer

the one i might get is just a set and it has all the mounting stuff and thats it so where wuld i get a kit bigger then 310

I think i found out why im still running a lil rich....
my top head gasket has a lil oil leaking out the one side...
im going to replace it and hope that helps... should i put blue rtv on that too?
also, im prob gonna get new rings for the hell of it..

No, the blue rtv is low temp rating...Get some of that orange sh*t and that will work...

i know the 03 and newer and the 02 and older had diff needle settings from yamaha.....i believe the 02 and older was on the second clip and the 03 and newer where on the third.....someone back me on this to make sure

Ok I got mine on the 3rd down now..
Is it neccesary to use the orange sealant on the gasket?
I prob will anyhow just to be safe...
