Hey I just recently put a Toomey pipe on my blasty. I put a 340 main with 1 size bigger on the pilot.. I also moved the needle down 1 notch..
My blasty bogs just a tad wen idling and sometimes turns off... It was after I moved the needle wen it started that.. It's all the way on the top notch on te needle.. Any1 no what's causing the bog?
Thanks

ive got my needle in the 4th clip now and the machine is lovein it but i have had it make my machine too rich in the past so i would try putting it back and see if it helps.

The pilot? Ok I had changed it before cuz I had a k&n pod filter but I took it off...
the numbers on the clip..there's four lil slots. The top is 1 right the bottom being number 4? Turn my screw all the way in then back out 1 1/2 turns?
My bike seemed to run a lil better wen it was on the second notch on the needle
one guy said his ween kaboom with his Toomey and a 330.
Should I try just the pilot first? And maybee the needle?

i ran a 340 with my toomey try the 240 stock pilot and there is 5 slots on the stock needle....try it in the 3rd from the top or the middle

I'm running no lid right now. Ima try changing the pilot back and the needle. Plus tune the screw... I shouldn't have to goto a 330 should I? I seen sum1 on here said there's went kaboom with a 330 and a Toomey

I tryed putting it on the 3rd slot it ran better but still too lean
I put the needle on the 4th slot.. And it's better yet but the plug comes out clean with a lil white/grey
still real lean.. I have the 340 in there with the stock pilot. I'm stumped.. Should I go 350 main?
My motors basically bone stock

thats the correct way to do it but looking close at the base for a cardboard color is key........put a new plug in and take it out at wide open throttle thru the gears and kill it and check the plug

i have a crappy camera but it somewhat shows..
took it on a good 5 min ride and i stopped to talk to a buddy up the street. when i went to start it back up i had to choke it and kick it prob 4-5 times...
usually fires rite up...

from what i can see that plug looks good...you might need to fine tune the airscrew alittle more........find the highest idle point with the airscrew then adjust the idle knob to your liking

my carb only has 1 screw on it.. (stock with the sh*tty tors..)

the plug was basically clean around the electrode part (the round part i cut when doing the plug chop..) it shouldnt have any oil or brown/black resedue?

ive always owened watercooled 2-stoke dirtbikes so this is all new..
