Is winter riding bad for blasters because the guy that bored my cyd out he said that you shouldent ride them when it gets too cold, any answers????:-/

well it is hard on them if as soon as you start it up you go wide open, but as long as you give it a few mins to warm up it should be fine. what's hard on a motor is if it is cold and gets hot too fast, or if it is hot and gets cold too fast. the reason for warming up your motor is so your piston expands and fits the cylinder better, if you don't give it time to warm up then you could blow it up.

^^Very true! Provided that you warm the engine up for at least 2-3mins before taking off and have the carburetor jetted properly for the cold, you won't hurt your engine. It will, with proper jetting, actually run better in the winter air than during the summer.

Just don't overheat it by pinning the throttle and going nowhere on the ice for minutes on end.

if your jetted right and let it warm up you will be fine.

the only thing winter riding is really hard on is your clutch because you spinning the tires the entire time...

It will give me an excuse to rebuild go faster and buy more upgrades in the process... haha but ya i know what it will do... but I've been riding like that forever and nothings happened so screw it.. RUN IT!!

nah man mines a 98 had it since 2000 rebuilt the motor in 2001 havent had any problems... when i bought it was already knocking then the one day it finally went but like i said nahh i just ride that sh*t out of my garage and let her warm up for a couple of minutes...

Just warm her up... Most like on here say to change and increase jet size, I don't... They are correct but i just don't.

a main jet that you could buy with change you find in your couch isnt worth searching threw thousands of couches to rebuild the motor.
just get a bigger jet who cares how long you have been runing it like this what better time than to start now. the money you save replaceing that melted pistion coudl buy u some upgrades. stuff like this is the reason blaster get bad names.

winter riding is fun as hell!!! only problem is after 6 inches of snow i cant seem to go anywhere!!!!

that's why resale is little to nothin on them cause people are under the impression thier junk and blow up for no reason all the time...... when in reality mechanical failure that isn't due to maintenance is little to none, i mean come there's only three moving parts in the motor

yall make a good point but if its ran fine why change now especially knowing everyone in my area with blasters that dont change the jets out? but ok ill go along with this jet changing talk. What size should i get then?
