im homeless

hey does anybody know how to check to see how much water is in the cylinder without takng the cylinder off??? the bottom end stayed sealed up, but i know the water got in the filter, but not sure how high the water was on the bike. gonna try and take the exhaust ioff and the spark plug out and slowly push the kicker over. it has full movement but it goes slowly. and no i havent tried to kick it over, just pushed it through the cycle real slow. doesnt have much resistance. no gurgling sounds either. in the state of disaster up here atvs are legal on the road. i need to get to work but the only way is on snowmobile trails.

pull the plug and exhaust off and kick away, if theres h2o in there it'll blow it out
dry that filter and drain the carb bowl
if it still won't start, you may have to tow it at speed, in gear, to evacuate the water

just did the tow thingy at oconnors, on the shee i ride while there, fuel was left on, and filled the c-case with raw fuel, towing it cleared it, started then

take off the exhaust and spark plug. rotate slowly to push it all out... check your gas and oil tanks to make sure they didn't get submerged. do an oil change before you run it.. u don't know if water got in the transfer ports or through the intake side of the piston.. water and oil don't make a good combination inside an engine..

got some good news today, theres an apartment at work that we can move into as soon as we can get there. and its 50bucks a month. now if they can get the roads open we will be all set, and it wasnt my house and we didnt get renters insurance, was calling to check into it on tuesday last week. dammit, should have got it. anyhow, once this whole mess gets straightened out ill have a ton of carnage pics for you guys. its fuggin crazy how much went to hell up here in the mountains.

Glad things are getting a bit better man... good luck with everything.

well just when i thought it would get better it sucks again. work has a no dog policy with the apartment.
drained and started the blaster, but it doesnbt run so well. got it to stay running with the choke on but even after warmed up it needed some choke, thinking plug is shat out, but after being warmed up real good it idles without the choke. guess the water must have finally evaporated, it runs kinda like its got an airleak, didnt have one before. all i did was take the plug out and exhaust off to drain. could it just be because of the h2o in the system? also tons of smoke, could it be from the h2o or a blown seal? seals were installed last summer.

prolly just the h20 in there, watch and see if the "smoke" evaporates as it exits, may just be steam ???

and why cant you stay in that house ??? after cleanup of course ????
maybe get some rent knocked off for doing the cleaning ???

the hopuse got condemned today, got permission to go in and get the rest of our stuff but its not habitable. talked the people at work inbto just taking a deposit for the dogs and we moved some things in today
and when it runs it spits moisture. so i think its all good. though i think it runs a little funny , it should be alright. its still legal to ride the roads upo here. cant wait to rip down the road past the pigs.
today ends on a good note. no longer homeless and the new place has everthing included for 250 a month taken out pre taxes from the paycheck.
and if it didnt cost so damn much to get there kickin it in the desert would be fine with me. i got 2 sets of paddle tires now and no place to use them.

great news nick, i had visions of you roaming the streets, pushing the blasty with the dog hooked to it by a leash, hahahaaa

Good to learn of your progress and that you've still got your dog and blaster (man's 2 best friends).

Stay strong, bro!
