My blaster has been running oddly for the past two days. It bogs whenever I shift into a gear no matter how much throttle I give, from 1/4-WOT. It sat for awhile, but I use the oil injection. Is it possible my carb is just all gunked up and needs a good soak in gasoline?

yea gas is ok, but it wont remove old/sticky gas if anything as good a carb cleaner. I have used wd40 before i got carb cleaner and it worked well (not great), but make sure you clean it all out.
Just get some carb cleaner

theres a specific reason they make carb cleaner, it works, you used gas the last time you cleaned it, now it needs done again, doesnt that tell you sumthin, use the right stuff and do it right the first time and you wouldnt be doing it again so soon.
if gas worked it would self clean itself as it used it and never need cleaned
GET CARB CLEANER !!!!!

Yeah. Im just...dodgy about taking the bowl and float off. But today I went riding hoping it would clear itself out, and if I just SLIGHTLY crack the throttle, I hear little pops, and it will barely idle enough to keep the light on. It looks so dim its like a flashlight on low batteries unless I give it throttle. Another thing that turned up today, I turned the blasty off to let it cool down because I was going down a road (its a incline and a load road/hill so I regularly turn it off to let the air cool it) and when I pulled the clutch in to shift down into first so I could hit neutral it sounded like something was clicking and/or grinding when I shifted into first, so I stayed in second and kept the clutch pulled in. Didn't do it at the bottom of the hill. Well when I was done riding I decided to head home (about a 3 minute ride on the road) I was in 6th just cruising at 1.4 throttle, and I pulled the clutch in to shift down, and I heard this clanking like either the piston or crank was hitting off something. I hit the kill switch and coasted off to the side of the road. Let it side, kicked it, started fine, didn't do it again when I pulled the clutch in. Someone try to help me?

I am lucky i still have two gallons of the good ol dip the stuff that eats skin ;)

you mean the stuff that if you forget that you put a carb in there and look all around......then remember you dipped it and can't find it in the basket anymore??

I'll assume it eats away at carbs? And I'm about ready to plunge it off a hillclimb. It was running perfect, now its f*cking sh*t. (Sorry for the language)

its a joke as to how ridiculously potent the stuff is

go to wal mart or a parts store and get yourself a can of carb/choke cleaner

We have like....3 cans of it. I just dont like taking my bowl off, or my float out. I have NO clue how to put it back in, how to take my jet out. etc. etc.

hell ya. agree with 100%
gas isn't a f*cking cleaner. kerosine can be used as a cleaner, but not gas.

and you dont have to take the floats off to clean the carb out. and it isn't hard to do anyways.

do it right the first time or dont f*cking do it at all.

if you are too lazy do this, get some fuel injector cleaner and put it in your gas tank. not sure how this will work but you can let us all know if it works.
