for 200 i dont think u can go wrong clean it up tune it up and i know in my area u could turn a pretty big profit around 1000

if you can get 1000 for a 89 kx250, what could i get for my 02 rm250?
i been having trouble selling it for 1K around here right now.

You have to ask yourself if it's worth your time, why is the person selling it for 2 bills?
Needs money, knows something about it you don't and isn't about to tell you,
stolen, or just plain stupid, to name a few.
Personally, I don't think it's worth your time trying to flip it,
you might end up having more time/money in it than it's worth. (be my luck).
I'd say jump on it if you were into dirt bikes, but you stated that isn't the case.

He had on CL for $400 and said he needed the money. I called to check it out and he would let it go for $200 to pay bills. I told him I was not sure and would get back to him.

i'd do a compression test first, if that checked out, the tires were ok and suspension not blown, i'd grab that, do some cleanig and a little paint here and there over the winter months, throw some free stickers on it,
come spring, there will be, guarenteed, some young kid with 4-500 bucks that just wants to ride and has kawi geen up his ass, and snatch that right up

so true.. i picked up my 84 cr125 for $150 bucks, ran and rode.. sorta.. needed new sprockets ... put new sprockets on.. riped it for a hour before it locked up!! case behind water pump leaked and all the coolant ended up inside the trans and she over heated. i made 250 on it parting it out

Thanks for everyones input. I decided to pass on it. It would have taken money away from what I was planing for my Blaster. It's all about resale to buy parts for the Blaster.
