so heres my problem . . . my quad will start right up but if you peg the gas it will bog for a quick second and then it will redline and stay like that for like 10 seconds. if theres strain on the motor [like if im riding it] the gas responds better but sometimes gets stuck for a quick second but will go right back down. i did a leakdown test and its holding pressure just fine. what could be my problem?

yeah i just put new gaskets and seals in it i pumped 7psi through the leakdown tester and it held for 15 min. before i took the tester off

take your air intake tube off from the carb/ air box, and work the throttle and watch and make sure the carb slide moves up and down like it should, also it wouldnt hurt to clean the carb, could be partly clooged jets causing lean condition, which will amke the rpms hang

it runs better if the choke is on at first but wen it warms up the choke just kills it. right now i screwed the air screw in all the way and it seems to run a little better

i agree with what your saying, but why am i lean? my quad is all stock besides a k&n . . . i have stock jetting and my engine has no air leaks

if u rebuilt your carb u could have opened up something that was clogged and are now giving it more air than needed and if u rebuilt it meaning new needle??? different needles have different effects u could take 2 needles the same size and 1 could be more lean than the other and if u took the needle out u might have put it in a lean position there are many posibilitys
