well like the title says i cant get it off. im in the middle of takaing my axle off and the one hub is stuck on and i need to get it off to change my bearings. i need this done asap. so suggestions would be cool

you only have to take on side off the axle to remove it from the carrier. i am guessing that is the side that is stuff.
take a rubber mallet and hit the hub to the side to break it loose of any rust. if this doesn't work heat it up.

well i beat it up last night with a sledgehammer and that didnt work so prolly gonna heat it. and super there not there dude? i sent em like a while ago. i will ask my dad today about em. he said that the usps would be the cheapest for the light package.

they will prolly show up today, i only said something cause i saw ur thread :D but when i did my bearings i had to put a piece of wood against the one side and BEAT THE sh*t outta it before she popped loose.

you do have the 2 big axle nuts off right???? i had to ask, then it pounds out from that sprocket side???, mine was tough too, unless your not using that axle again ya gotta always use wood against them threads so they dont get fuk'd up, and i think i took mine, carrier off the bike, stood it up and kept slamming it down on the wood, till it broke loose and pushed out
are you tryin to do this while it's on the bike??? gotta take it off the bike, wait till ya try and get the bearings out, they're even worse, you can make a different thread for that

I:I well said I:I And X2 you gotta take the carrier off the frame to do it efficiently

use a bunch of pb blaster, let it sit for 5 min then hit it again. repeat this for about an hour then it should come loose, just be careful about hammering on it, dont bend it

yeah heat it then use liquid wrench. that worked for me. and make sure you have a long pipe to put over your ratchet to get a sh*t ton of leverage on it.

steph i got everything off the chain hub the brake hub all that. my problem is the hub that goes on the side u have to beat it. sum1 told me to put it backwards put the collar washer on and the nut then put a socket on it and have at it. so i did got the axle loose all that but the hub will not come back off. its stuck. i even tryed beating it with a sledge and no luc please help i did this in my gfs gayrage and her parents come home tomorrow!!! so i need help/

Here is an easy fix for stuck wheel hubs. Knock 2 studs out opposite of each other, using 2 long bolts attach a harmonic balancer puller to the hub. Hit the puller with an impact gun, hub comes off no problem. Hope this helps.

yo i used a 10 ton press with pb blaster soaked in. it did not come off. banged with pine wedge and mallet as well as rubber mallets. Heated with oxy-acytylene and banged on it,for over an hour. finally bent it and cut if off clean. got one on ebay for 12 bucks -works mint. if you dont lube the bitches up rust will f ya

well heres my 2 cents , go get like 4 bags of block party ice , and rig a bucket so the hub is encased in it , like put a hole in the side , then pack the ice around the hub , then with the space left over ( you gotta make the bucket water tight , pour a 2 litre bottle of coke over the hub , and let that sh*t sit for about 6 hours , add ice and coke as needed to keep it submerged , sounds like its nuts , but you need to shrink the axle and hub , this will allow you to then heat it up and the rapid expansion will bust the rust loose , sounds nuts , but I've done it . And a balancer puller at the ready will finish the job off quick
