I would never gat a KTM, I went to the dealer when I was looking for a 450 and the told me I would need to buy 2 of them. one for a race quad, and one for a parts quad. they have so many problems and if you break parts you cant buy OEM

I haven't heard of any.......at least no more than any of the other "450s". My buddies Outlaw 525 engine runs the same engine as the KTM and has had less issues than his brother's YFZ which was just rebuilt.

I couldn't care less about OEM.........I only buy aftermarket. I:I Engine parts are easy to come by since it's mostly compatible with the 505 and 525 bike engines as well.

To give you an idea of how "sport" an outlander 800 really is, check GNCC morning results. Those guys on outlanders, renegades, grizzlies, v-forces, etc. are mean. They come through some turns on 2 wheels and that's another day at the office for them.

it would have to be a raptor 700...even tho the one i rode yesterday was stock/slow i still cant get over how much of a tourqe monster it is...maybe its just because im used to being in the powerband to do wheelies, but this bad boy was doing wheelies at 2 MPH

i dont think i could choose. i am in love with my blaster. even though i want a 450, i cant lift one in the back of my truck by myself. blasters are light, with money they haul ass, they dont have valves or springs or anything that needs adjusted, and best of all they are 2 stroke. no damn battery, or stupid sh*t that will go dead. if something goes bad on a 4 stroke, they need things like valves adjusted, and such. i can rebuild my blaster in about an hour. i tried to take apart my carb on my warrior and i think it took me the same ammount of time it took me to rebuild my blaster.

They are fast.........besides the V-forces.....hell they are barely faster than a 400ex...one of our riding buddies has a 700 and it's not much to write home about.

Even so, they get pretty much raped when it comes to handling when weight and COG becomes an issue. Good for straight line speed and not much else.

Meh....my neighbor had a piped and cammed 660 and I didn't like it. It's too big, rides high, and really sucked on trails. I put it mostly in the same class as a banshee as a "dune quad". To each his own though. :D

Try out a race modded one. guy I raced utility with in the local series is currently #2 in GNCC standings on his Can-Am but before that, he was #2 in the U2 class on a v-force. they haul the mail when you have the right mods.

Ive always like 250r's. Idk why but I low them to death. I would want that, a yfz or ktm.... Or even all of them! God I wish I could have all 3 of them

Buddy has a slightly modded one.....nothing major. It's still not that fast. About the only advantage it has is the CVT tranny which enables it to go fast without shifting. Outside of that, I'm not impressed by the Prairie.....errr.......V-Force 700.

maybe reliability? idk i dont understand that. and they got wider and lower to the ground

Granted there are a lot of factors that go into that, but it seems at first glance to be a really dumb move to scrap the 5 valve head......something Yamaha tends to take pride in producing. Only thing I can think of is production costs go down, but other than that, it makes no sense to me. :-/

Outlander 800R X xc - Key Features | Can-Am ATV

that is pretty fast i am pretty sure, and is geared towards the cross country and harescramble market

and this is unpractical for most, but still wicked

Only problem is it fails at power to weight ratio. It is a cool quad though. Haven't seen one in person, but a few of the guys I ride with have. I'm only interested in sport quads though, so it's just not my thing. If I wanted to win drag races, I'd just buy a shee or raptor.
